i think we did pretty well considering the topic of the story line it wasnt very interesting but we still expanded on it and made connections but i find its easier to word things orally then to write. Also i feel if we were given a more meaningfull topic or something we were all passionate about it would have furthered the discussion It is true the story wasn't that interresting and we could've gotten a better topic but i still found myself not really comfortable talking in class and online it gives me more of a voice than in class

Nick is right it would have been way more interesting if we had a more controversial topic! Also, since i am not the loudest person... i find it way easier to contribute online then in class!

Nick that's good, because a lot of people have a hard time saying what they want to in class and when everyone can give their input it makes the conversation go a lot further. So in the end Aliya and Nick are very right

It may have been a good conversation, but it didn't go very far. It was mostly " I agree's" and just adding a little bit of their own opinion. Personally I think we could have done better. As well as there was some abreviations used, but sometimes it is easier to make a point or to have more impact on the readers. Yeah, I think the conversation was pretty good but only when people stayed on subject. some people came into the conversation without reading other replies, some people got confused and it made it hard to read/follow.

And yes, I agree with Nick, if you are quiet in class, talking online can be way easier.

It is and then everyone has a chance to share and we have more time then each talking in class, so it seems more efficient

I think that its alot easier/more convenient online because we dont have to wory about running out of time in class, everyone gets a turn to contribute. Also, nobody is trying to speak over eachother/interrupt one another. Plus, its alot easier to follow the conversation if you missed something.

Personally I thought the conversation we had was great. Most of it was easy to understand, and it was mostly on topic. I found it easier to post online than it is to participate in class, because you can look over what you've written before posting. Anyone agree? Yeah that's exactly what I thought! Over the internet is easier because if someone said something awhile ago, you can directly comment to them, unlike in class or a conversation, you have to talk in the heat of the moment.

Idek, for me I think that's how I'd be. And online, you can join in, and you can't really interrupt someone. It's just easier in general.

Also you can explain your points better when you have time to think about it and right it down and your not rushed or interrupted like allora said.

For me typing is more difficult when it comes to expressing my thoughts, but talking -for me- isn't any easier, yet seeing the way everyone participates online is really awesome. So I think the majority of the class finds it way easier to post online rather than in class.

i agree with it being a good conversation and i also think that people talk like this for speede purposes and that if people put the extra effort into typing more the conversation will go longer

There were a lot of "I agrees" and personally I found it hard to contribute a lot.
