At this point, I reverted back to some last-gasp Google searching, and ended up finding an open-source project called hpoj, apparently funded by HP, that provides scanner drivers for Linux. This seemed to be my lucky search result, so I downloaded the source and tried to install it. The "autoreconf -i" and "./configure" commands worked as expected, but when I got to the "make" command, what I feared most happened: it didn't make. Here are the errors on Mac OS X 10.4.4 Tiger: I suspect I only ran into it so soon, because the App Store has been nagging me about the printer driver "updates" in question for a few months. I got those updates direct from the manufacturers last fall. One of the Apple distributed drivers is still older than one I got from Canon last October. 4. Empty the Trash. Communities Support Communities / Mac OS & System Software / OS X El Capitan None so far. We built VueScan so that two completely different types of users can use it. Beginners only need to run VueScan and press the 'Scan' button. Pro users can change to either the 'Standard' or 'Professional' options to unlock powerful features to have complete control over their scans.

VueScan is easy to use and has neat processing features such as the ability to restore faded colors, undertake batch scanning and also perform other image adjustments. However, simple for the average user and advanced for those who want to view all the options available in the program. Finally, VueScan Activation Key is a pretty useful piece of software which comes bundled with a large number of customizable options.
